This advanced Certified Investigator Workshop is a highly practical programme for IC members, HR professionals, external members, lawyers and compliance leaders serving organisations across Delhi-NCR.
It combines legal understanding with inquiry planning, interview skills, evidence assessment, report writing and decision-making practice.

Participants begin by building a strong foundation on the role, responsibilities, powers, and functioning of the Internal Committee (IC). You will learn how to receive, assess, and acknowledge complaints correctly as per the POSH Act to ensure zero procedural lapse.

The workshop then takes you through a complete, step-by-step POSH inquiry process simulation—from issuing notices, ensuring due process for both sides, framing questions, conducting hearings, documenting proceedings, and maintaining the highest standards of neutrality and natural justice.

To strengthen investigation accuracy, participants learn to evaluate digital, documentary, circumstantial, and testimonial evidence, along with how to differentiate between eyewitnesses vs. circumstantial witnesses. You will learn how to apply the legal test of Preponderance of Probabilities, which is the standard used to decide POSH cases under Indian law.

One of the most powerful components of this training is the Mock IC Investigation with Live Inquiry & Report Writing Exercise. Participants conduct a simulated case—from complaint to final inquiry report—with guidance from the Master Trainer. This provides hands-on experience in preparing legally sound IC reports, findings, and recommendations.

A special segment covers Landmark POSH Judgments—including cases related to perception vs intent, same-sex complaints, improper language like “I Love You” in workplaces, when physical touch crosses the line, scope of complaint timelines, and judicial action against flawed IC procedures. These cases help IC members align their decisions with principles used by courts across India.

To ensure long-term impact, the program includes 3 Months of Post-Certification Mentorship, where participants receive periodic support, case-handling guidance, and expert consultation to strengthen their IC capability at work.
Participants who demonstrate strong application of the investigation framework may receive additional recognition and guidance from the NoMeansNo team.

Learn to ask neutral, non-leading questions; handle difficult conversations; manage hostile or evasive responses; and protect the dignity of all participants.
Understand how to provide a fair hearing, avoid bias, maintain confidentiality and apply the principles of natural justice.
Learn how to assess oral testimony, documentary evidence, digital records, timelines and inconsistencies without losing sight of context.
Develop stronger findings and recommendations by linking conclusions to evidence, reasoning and the requirements of a defensible report.
Understand common investigation mistakes that create risk, including weak documentation, confirmation bias, poor questioning and unclear findings.
Explore how to handle anonymous complaints, complaints involving senior employees, conflicts of interest and other complex workplace scenarios.
If you work as an external member or want to build this capability, learn how to support multiple organisations with professionalism and consistency.
Gain a practical understanding of how courts and regulators interpret workplace harassment prevention, inquiry procedure and employer responsibility.
